Phil - Blogware is closing in 27 days, the vendor will not be fixing any issues. We've migrated your site to WordPress on PressHarbor, I suggest you focus on getting that live as soon as possible.

In any case, there is probably no issue anyway. You probably reset your local computer's DNS as we instructed you to. So you are seeing the site at PressHarbor not at BlogHarbor. So uploading via BlogHarbor the file is not visible to you unless you revert your local computer changes...

So again, your content was migrated already so posting content to BlogHarbor just means it won't get to your PressHarbor site unless you manually copy it over... You should just finish setting your PressHarbor site up and make it live...

When I go through the new account wizard, which of the 3 below do I choose?(my current url is www.holdthatmayo.com and I want to keep that the same after the switch)

Register a new domain at Pressharbor
Transfer my domain from another registrar
Update me domain's name servers only at my existing registrar

Hey John,
I am finally ready to migrate from blogharbor to press harbor but I do not see any "order now " links on the page you sent me which is the first step. (referenced at http://www.pressharbor.com/2011/07/migrate-blogware-blogharbor-to-wordpress/ ) Can you send me the url where I start the ordering process. if I go directly to pressharbor.com, it's not clear to me what I need to click on, once I am there?

There is an issue with the back-end that our vendor for the platform is looking into. We expect they will have it resolved shortly.

Last night and again this morning, some images I had previously posted are no longer visable. They have been replaced with a box with a small red X in it. I checked my last seven blogs, and as many as a few up to one-half of the images in them are affected. What has happened, and can you correct it? Thanks, Phil Arnold www.ElvisBlog.net.

While information about your File Uploads contained in your File Manager is not contained in the Blogware XML export file, all of your files are accessible via FTP and that's the easiest way to retrieve them.

Information on accessing your File Manager via FTP is here:

The files contained in the top directory of your FTP site were accessible at the root directory of your Blogware blog; so if you had a file at the top level of the FTP site named mypicture.jpg and your site had a URL of www.blogharbor.com, the file's URL was http://www.blogharbor.com/mypicture.jpg .

So you can just download the contents of your FTP site and upload the contents to the root directory of your new site.

If you wish to move your BlogHarbor or Blogware blog to another service, it is possible to export some of the content as an XML file. This page explains how to create an XML export file:

WordPress can read the Blogware export file and import your articles, though there are many limitations with the resulting import. Some of those limitations include the following:

The layout or Color Scheme for your blog will not be imported.
Comments are not attributed. The Blogware export file does not contain the author information so all WordPress comments are attributed to Anonymous.
No URL redirection is provided.
Trackbacks are not imported.
Photos are not imported.
Users are not imported.
Settings are not imported.
File Attachments are not imported.
File Uploads from the File Manager are not imported.
Web Pages are not imported.
Permissions are not imported.

There are numerous other limitations with the import file.

I set up a new user with username and password and received the confirmation e-mail from Blogharbor on Sunday 4/11. But When I try to log in as directed on the e-mail it fails.

What am I doing wrong?
