Today, I posted the Media Matters for America RSS feed on my blog.
Here's the code they provide:
<script src="http://mediamatters.org/tools/syndication/headlinenews.html"></script>
It produces a component that does not color coordinate with my blog (well, the text color from the CSS works). The outline is blue instead of white, the size is slightly off, and the background is white instead of golden.
Right now, I have inserted this directly into a component because it doesn't work to use that conversion RSS thing you provide.
Do you know of any way to get this to conform to the rest of my site? |

I looked at the page you refer to and the Media Matters site. The page you refer to is not an RSS feed, which is why it won't work with our Javascript RSS tool.
The page you refer to is for webmasters who don't have access to RSS tools, it is just some Javascript which will load text into your page and I doubt it is very customizable.
I browsed the Media Matters site and saw this URL to their RSS feed:
http://mediamatters.org/tools/syndication/latest.rss
so if you use that URL to create a sidebar component with our Javascript RSS tool you should be able to add the headlines to your weblog and have them match the design of your site. |

Hey, that's really interesting. I wondered why it was always updating itself when the RSS feeds only update once every 3 hours. That explains it.
Thank you! |
