I have been trying out Ecto for Mac OSX and have had problem adding attachments. Ecto attempts to upload the file then comes back with an error:
Server returned an error:
Method "metaWeblog.newMediaObject" produced a server error: "Directory does not exist: images".

Is there a fix for this?

Sam

This error message means that Ecto is trying to upload to a directory called images which does not exist on your site. You can either create that directory in your File Manager as explained on this page:

http://demo.blogharbor.com/blog/_archives/2004/8/14/123897.html

or you can change the directory to which Ecto is trying to post to one which does exist...

Click on the file you are trying to upload in Ecto's draft window and its properties will be displayed. Look for the Destination box, and you will see that it says images/. Remove the contents of that field and the attachment will be uploaded to the root of your file tree.

It is not possible for Ecto or other blogging clients to create directories, you need to make sure a directory exists before you can post to it.
