I started my own blog about a month ago. Since then myself and a friend initiated a blog to a group we are involved in. We wanted everyone to be able to post articles, photos & post comments, so they all have the username & password.
We have requested that everyone restricts their activities to posting articles, comments & photos and they also are aware they could change the layout , password etc.
Is there some way we can allow restricted access to layout, password etc while still allowing group members to post articles etc?

There are essentially 3 classes of special permissions which you can provide to other authors which allows them to post to your blog:
  • Administrator
  • Trusted Poster
  • Custom Permissions
An Administrator is a user to whom complete control over a blog's operation has been granted by the Blog Owner. An Administrator can create and delete any posts, any files, and manage users. An Administrator has essentially the same privileges as the Blog Owner account. A blog owner might grant another user Administrator privileges in order to share maintenance and and administrative tasks. Or a blog owner might wish to create a new user account as an alternate identity or persona with which to post to the blog, and grant that user account Administrator privileges for convenience. Learn more about adding additional admins here.

A Trusted Poster is a user who has permission to post articles to all categories of your blog. By adding a user as a Trusted Poster, you do not have to explicitly add permissions for them to post to categories that you might create in the future. It's a convenient way of allowing an author permission to post to all categories of your blog, even ones you have yet to create. Learn more about adding Trusted Posters here.

A Trusted Poster has permission to post articles to all categories of your blog, but you can also add Custom Permissions, permission for a user to post articles only to a specific category or group of categories. Learn more about adding custom permissions here.
