Is there a maximum size for file uploads? Also, if someone (one of my coauthors, in this case) is uploading through wifi, is there a chance a large file will time out?

Our system will not impose a timeout, though older browsers can sometimes introduce their own timeouts.
If you're using a modern browser like Firefox, as long as your connection is still sending data we'll keep accepting it. Though for larger file uploads it's almost always best to upload using FTP instead of a browser-based upload.
