I've just started using <target=_blank> in HTML links to get the linked target to open in a new window. Sometimes that works and sometimes it gets translated into %20target=_blank and then I get a 'page not found' message.

From a Google search it seems that this is about 'HTML encoding' and something about a space not being allowed in URLs, but that's already beyond the boundaries of my basic HTML knowledge.

Did you make the change when in Source Mode in the Rich Text Editor? Make sure you are entering HTML in Source Mode, not in Display Mode: Click the Toggle Mode icon (to the left of the smiley face) to see the HTML code and make your HTML changes. Then click the Toggle button again to go back to Display Mode.

If you've got %20 before target=_blank, the editor believes that the "target" portion is part of the URL.

Do not paste the 'target' portion into the dialog which comes up asking for the url.

I think he's got it... That's a better explanation...

Thanks guys. I've not been around much this past week and a half, but I do appreciate your answers.
