What exactly is the question?
What did you do? What did you think would happen? What happened instead? |

Yes, I actually read that. But I don't quite understand what it means...
Can you start from the beginning? Are you saying that you are trying to load this flash file on your blog? Is it in an article on your blog? Is it in a sidebar on your blog? |

When sending support requests for our service, or for any service for that matter, try to include the answers to the following questions:
- What did you do?
- What did you think would happen?
- What happened instead?
Almost always, thinking of your request in terms of these questions will help someone to solve your problem, or at the very least determine if there was some misunderstanding or misconception about the problem you were trying to solve.
In this case, answering these questions would very much help us to help you. As it is, I am finding it difficult to determine the answers to the first two questions: What did you do and what did you think would happen having done that?
You say "My flash file in my blog http://lafamilyfed.blogharbor.com/blog which is a RSS reader shows up in IE6 , but not in in Firefox."...
Let's start here... Where is this Flash file? What did you do to add it and what was supposed to happen having done that? |

Ok .
Let's star here.
I added a flash file to the base templates of main and several cateories at this blog.
http://lafamilyfed.blogharbor.com/blog
It is located in a cell on the right of article cell.
If you open the blog in IE6 you can see that it works fine, it scrolls the category headlines up.
But, when I open it in firefox, flash file totally disapears.
Thank you. |

The beginning is a very fine place to start!
First, let's take a look at your HTML. We see this before your custom Flash code:
Code: | <P> </P><td height="368" valign="top"><div align="left"> |
You can't start a new column without closing the previous one; you're missing a </td> tag in there.
Second, you have this code:
Code: | <param name="movie" value="http://familyfedla.org/flash/flash%20ticker%20Announce.swf"> |
which references a Flash file on another server, but this code:
Code: | <embed src="/flash/flash%20ticker%20Announce.swf" |
which references a file on the local server, and that file does not exist. By not including a full path, the browser assumes the path is the server from which the page is being loaded - http://lafamilyfed.blogharbor.com/flash/flash%20ticker%20Announce.swf - and that file does not exist.
I am going to guess that fixing either or both of those issues would solve your problem. |
