This is directed at John, but if anyone else has advise, I'll take it. After 3 years of publishing Elvisblog, it's been so long I don't remember how I did some things originally. If you go to the homepage of www.elvisblog.net, there is a single line of text above the header. It says, "by Phil Arnold, Contributing Editor, Elvis International, The Magazine." The name of the magazine has changed, so I wanted to change the line of text. I went into the section for changing the look of the blog and clicked on Components, and then Edit Components. A list of Five Custom Components came up, and one called "Edit Entry" had the old line of text. So, I changed it to "by Phil Arnold - Contributing Editor, Elvis...The Magazine. I saved it, but when I went to View Blog, the old line was still there. Later I found that "Edit Entry" is in the Inactive Component file, so I don't know how the line of text can be a the top of my blog page anyway. Can you walk me through how to make the change I want?

Also, most websites about Elvis have a disclaimer at the bottom of the page that states "Elvis and Elvis Presley are registered trademarks of Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc." I probably ought to do that, too. What is the right way to add it so that the readers see it no matter what page on the blog they are reading?

Thanks, Phil Arnold

See this page for an explanation of where that is coming from...

Create a custom component and add it to your footer...

John: Once again, thank you for the prompt answer. Your directed me to Settings & Sequrity/Publishing Defalts/General, and I got it worked out. I was scared at first when I saw the reference to HTML codes, but all I had to do was type in the text I wanted. So easy. Thanks again. Phil Arnold

Please re-read Add Additional Content to the HEAD area of your HTML... As we wrote there:

The purpose of this setting is not to provide a means to add content to be displayed on the Header of your blog. So you should not enter plain text into the field... If you wish to modify the header of your blog, you should create a custom component and add it to your blog Layout.
