I added a banner image per the instructions in the how to section, but when it comes up on the actual blog page all I get is a red x where the image should be. I created the custom component and it went through and created the custom banner image for me, but it won't load on the page. What do i do now?

How about letting us know the URL of the page so we can debug it? It's pretty hard to tell what you did wrong without seeing the page...

sorry about that. the code for the banner image in my custom component section is

Your weblog has HTML which refers to this image:

But there is no image there. I tried this:

and it looks like you uploaded a file there, so you uploaded the file without a file extension. Rename your uploaded file with the .gif extension or reupload the file with the .gif extension and your HTML code and banner will work fine.
