I have seen mention of the fact that this sort of spam is being automatically deleted, but it doesn't in my case, any reason? I would like to know how to interpret my usage data with this sort of spam, ie what figures are still meaningful, and also what impact it's having on my bandwidth usage? _________________ Steve Richards

Referer spam is not being automatically deleted at this time, only Trackback spam is being automatically removed. Referer spam is next on our list; it's a bit more diffficult to do from a technical perspective but solving this problem is very high priority for us.

As I noted in this post with respect to referer spam:
We're working on bringing the referer spam problem under control to make your site stats more meaningful again.
