GetRight is a legitimate software:

http://www.getright.com/

It's a "Download Manager" which makes it easier to download files and pages; it seems like it would be particularly useful for users on modems who wish to either download files and be able to resume the download in the case of a lost connection, or for users who wish to save copies of web pages for offline viewing.

Since this is a legitimate software, it is not something we will be able to do a global block on. Since GetRight apparently respects robots.txt, the specification which tells search engines and programs of this type what they are allowed to access, you can upload your own robots.txt file which would block this user agent.

Create a file on your local machine called robots.txt. Copy and paste the following content into it:

Code:
User-agent: GetRight/5.2d
User-agent: GetRight
Disallow: /

Save the file and upload it to the root of your File Manager. That should prevent this software from spidering your site.

Looks like although you saved the file with an .TXT extension, it's not really a text file, it seems to be an RTF file or something. Save it as a text file, or create it in Notepad instead, and re-upload it...
