According to Google, one of the ways to get your blog listed (looks like mumbo jumbo to me...meaning the posts listed) is to have your blog set up to ping weblogs.com. How is this done on the blogs here and must you set up an account with weblogs.com?

When you enable the Publicity feature by checking the Publicize new posts checkbox in your control panel (Settings & Security > Publishing Defaults > Advanced), we will automatically notify - or ping - the following services whenever you post a new article using our control panel:
There is no need to create an account with Weblogs.com or any of these services in order for your blog to send them a notification or ping.
