O Master of Mysteries,
I would like to set up a comment login so that I can respond as "gristgal", rather than as grist&gristle. I'm assuming that I'm doing something wrong, because Blogware doesn't want to let me do it. It's probably something simple I'm overlooking. :sigh:
Please enlighten me? _________________ "Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance."

You can Change the Author name that appears on your Articles. Is that what you are looking to do?
Or are you looking to create an alter ego? You can do that as well if you prefer, and login to your blog account as that identity and respond using that personality if you so choose. |

I don't think I want to change the author name at this point.
What I do want is the alter ego for comment response. How do I do that, please? I tried creating the alter ego at the comment entry page, but it wouldn't let me. How can I do that, please? |

If you want to create a new Reader Account, then log out of your blog (Click the Logout button in the sidebar if it's there) and log out of the admin control panel. Now when you go to your blog you will see a link to Create a Reader Account. Follow that link to create a new account for your alter ego.
Keep in mind that you can not be logged in to the blog or the control panel as two different users simultaneously, you'll need to logout as one identity and log back in as the other. Some folks get around this by opening 2 web browsers, logging in with Internet Explorer as one user and Firefox as a different user. |
