HTML for the excited

Hey folks - our organizations is blownin up. www.neighborsforneighbors.org. We got some great coverage in the Boston Globe and I working on getting on NPR. I want to add some text with a link just beneath the header. I know how to do that but dont really know HTML. I want visitors who come to our site to see this and read the article. Which for us is exciting - hence the title. So what am I scewing up in this statement:

I want Mighty Neighborly to be a hyperlinked and to read like.
