HTML in comment is nows disalowed for all ? (I have valided this).

But HTML is OK in comment notifiavtion :

You can control whether or not HTML is allowed in comments via the settings at Settings & Security > Publishing Defaults >Advanced. Your blog does have HTML comments enabled.

As for this HTML:

which is what I assume you are referring to, the important question is: What will this code output? The answer is nothing. Without anything in between the opening and closing of this tag, nothing will be output. So the raw HTML code was shown in the comment notification sent to you by email, but nothing appears on the web because that HTML code produces, literally, nothing.

To properly create a link in HTML, you would need text in between the opening and closing, like this:

<a href="http://orlandoderudder.canalblog.com/">Here is a link to my blog</a>


If your commenter had input the code above, you would indeed see a proper link created.

The commenter has insered the code (link) just via the link button on the comment form...

They need to select some text before clicking the Link button, or else they would receive such an "empty link".
