I don't know if it's something I'm doing, but on a few occasions now I've found that I suddenly have three or more copies of the one post appearing.

I know that I can achieve this by doing an edit and then hitting save, without changing it to the date/time in the past option. But today I was not conscious of actually doing anything which might have caused it.

I'm only bothered because I don't like the idea of people getting multiple copies of the one post in their rss feed reader.

I am unable to replicate any issues of this nature. If you are able to determine exactly what steps to follow to replicate this problem, please let us know.

Maybe too much coffee too early Shocked

If it occurs again I'll try and figure out just what I did.

Proper regulation of caffeine intake is indeed essential to efficient computer operation. Wink

It's happening again and I've drunk nothing but green tea this time.

A post from yesterday duplicated. I deleted the dupe and posted about the problem, basically as an explanation and apology, esp for those who get the posts in a feed reader.

Eh voila. The post duplicated
http://www.thinkinghomebusiness.com/blog/_archives/2007/6/16/3024565.html the original and the dupe
http://www.thinkinghomebusiness.com/blog/_archives/2007/6/16/3024566.html

All I did was view the Preview and then hit Publish (I normally go back via Edit and then publish with Save - this is the first time I can actually recall publishing directly from Preview).

This is really troubling.

I just tried 6 times to post from the Preview on my blog, and none were duplicated. I also tried 4 times from your blog, and no posts were duplicated.

If you can give me the steps that will replicate this problem, that would help me to get it investigated. But right now, I can't find the sequence of events on my blog or yours that will cause this to happen.

Wasn't sure I could provide the steps with absolute confidence, but it has just happened again at the draft stage and the steps are very clear to me. See the draft post "I'm Back, Raring to Go". I inserted the header, then typed a couple of paras and as I wanted to do something else I clicked the box for publish later then hit save. When I returned and opened Post Manager, there was the item and a duplicate. I'll leave it so you can look at it and will send access details directly.

I can't seem to make this occur on your blog or any other. I open up that post, make some changes, and I never see any additional posts appear.

Thanks for posting this info, though. If I am able to figure out how to replicate this, I will let our admins know.
