John, about a year and a half ago, you recommended a company by the name of Zookoda to handle email registrations for blog readers who wanted to sign up for email notifications.

I signed up with them. For about a year they were fantastic. Then suddenly their service went south. The broadcasts began failing to go out. They'd fix the problem only to have if fail week after week.

The service is now a colossal joke. The broadcasts have not gone out as scheduled for weeks now. Whenever they do, they're completely out of sync with recent posts.

Email complaints result in perpetual excuses and promises that the system will be fixed. NO MORE!

Do you know of another service, pay or otherwise that you can recommend?

Thanks

Joe Walther

I'm not familiar with the current state of the art in feed-to-email services. Perhaps Feedblitz is worth another look.

Joe:

Sorry - I just say your post.

Both http://www.Aweber.com and http://www.iContact.com are distribution services that allow broadcasting of rss content. The are primarily e-newsletter and autoresponder services, so that's what is driving the monthly fee, but both do have the rss feature.

I haven't used Aweber this way, but iContact pulls in the page you point it to, exactly as it is. I couldn't find a way to select what posts were included, so I tend to send updates as a newsletter with my content selected before sending.

Hope that helps.

Karen
