John,
I got an alert today that I hit the maximum category limit (500) on exercisereports.com. I am in the process of paring down some categories for now, but I expect that I will need some more categories and have concluded that I would some day open another BlogHarbor subscription to handle additional private categories.

If I create new private categories (or public, too, for that matter) in another Blogharbor subscription, can I use a subdomain, such as "members1.exercisereports.com" as the address for another Blogharbor blog?

This would help the two blogs remain somewhat seamless keeping the look and feel the same. I could see having about 100 exercisers (with three or four subcategories) for each blog. Then if I exceed the second blog I would start another, and name that "members2.exercisereports.com" -- for example ... and so on.

I also could see a team of athletes getting their own entire private blog with something like "privateteam.exercisereports.com" as the domain for a team training & conditioning blog.

If you have any suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated.

Mark B

Short answer is yes, you could create a second blog with a different hostname using another subdomain. You are using www.exercisereports.com, and yes you can create additional blog accounts with addresses like private.exercisereports.com or whatever you like. Unfortunately, these additional accounts are separate and not included as part of your current subscription.

Thanks ... That answers the question. When I'm ready I will get the details on how it's done.
