On the general settings page, i was curious about the value/purpose of the 'additional head content" I just realized that i had that input box blank all along, as I probably got confused as to what was supposed to go there when I set up my blog.

This setting lets you specify additional HTML to go into the <HEAD>section of the HTML for all the pages in your weblog.

If you need to load something like a third party javascript it's an easy way to do it if you don't want to manually edit your templates, that's all. Don't put straight text in there...
