Confused Well, I like the Mozilla. . . but I am still seeing the image not allowing text wrap. I see the photo aligned to the left, although I coded it to align right, and no wrap except the first line, as usual. Weird!

The code as I wrote it and saved it is <img src = "http://askew.blogharbor.com/_NewPhotos/Sheilacar.jpg" align=top align=right vspace=5 hspace=5>

Unfortunately, Mozilla won't let me view the source code. (I don't get a smiley face like the rest of you - I use the top bar as I view the web site - or I did, with IE.)

I did reboot after downloading WamCom.

Don't put both "align=top" and "align=right" into your image tag. Who knows which one the browser will choose? Here's what it should look like:

Code:
<img src="http://askew.blogharbor.com/_NewPhotos/Sheilacar.jpg" align=right vspace=5 hspace=5>

Chuck is correct, you can't have both... The code you refer to above is the code you have placed into your article excerpt. The excerpt is what appears in the category listing:

http://askew.blogharbor.com/blog

Since there's not much text in your excerpt, the wrap doesn't make a difference really.

But you ALSO have to consider that the article body is what will display here in the article itself:

http://askew.blogharbor.com/blog/_archives/2005/6/9/924448.html

You have not altered the code for the article body. You have this:

Code:
<img src="http://askew.blogharbor.com/_NewPhotos/Sheilacar.jpg" align="top" hspace="5" vspace="5">

Look for it. You will see it in the article, no matter what browser you use. This is the code you must change in the manner explained here.

WOO HOO!!!! Success!! Thanks for the help - you too Chuck! I have been doing this for years, and had no idea you couldn't put the two align tags together. I don't remember what I was thinking when I did it. . .

I notice something you'll want to know, John . . . you said :

The thing is - I DID change both the excerpt and the body every time! I kept wondering why you were not seeing the same source code that I was saving on the Post Manager editor. You were also not seeing the same code I was seeing when I was looking at the source window in IE. (I can't do it in Mozilla - I click it and it just doesn't do anything. . .) So here is what I am wondering . . . I had a habit of doing the editing in the body and excerpt . . and then at the bottom of the Post Manager page I have three buttons - Preview, Save, Edit. I usually just hit save. I think THAT's when we don't see the same thing saving, you and I. I am thinking that I need to always hit Preview, then hit Publish in that window, in order to get everything to save properly. . . interesting. I don't know if that would be a Mac glitch? Anyway, thought you'd want to know. Bottom line is, yes I was editing both the body and excerpt - it just wasn't showing that way on your end.

Regardless, thanks so much. I think that was my only major problem. At least I kept you entertained the last 24 hours. . . sure is quite around here. Guess that's good? Laughing

Oh - wanted to mention something else - I actually, when I got my first Mac ( about 1992 ?) used Netscape and loved it. Then we updated, and Mac 8.0 (or was it 7.5?) warred with Netscape 3.2 something terrible . . . didn't like the extensions on the Mac, 2 major computer crashes in about 3 mo. I finally just dumped the Netscape (had to go in and find every file!) and went to IE and all was smooth. Then, as you have learned, MacOS X is awful with IE. At any rate, I am glad to get back to a different browser. I'm enjoying the Mozilla. (As far as the source code thing. . .I still have IE on the computer because I love its email program, so I can use it to look at code if I need to. No big deal.)

Thanks again!

I don't believe that's the case. I just verified that the system is working as it's supposed to and either technique works. Mac or Windows.

Bottom line is, yes I was editing both the body and excerpt - it just wasn't showing that way on your end.

The system didn't see your updates either, it wasn't a "browser thing"... Perhaps you were just mistakenly hitting the wrong button. I do it all the time.

Anyway, glad you got it worked out!
