in the stats. details - what does transfer usage mean exactly ?

i noticed as soon as i post something new, a figure appears already in the transfer usage ?
basic question im sure - im still learning some of the basics

does it mean a link has been set up to let them know the moment there is something new ? - does it mean the file , and sometimes that means an image, has immediatly been transferred somewhere else ?

kev

The Transfer Usage page simply is a way to shown you which pages and files of yours affect your bandwidth (aka transfer) usage the most.

If you have one 10K image accessed 1,000 times, it will not have the same impact to your bandwidth/transfer usage as one 25 MB file downloaded once. And this section is there to help you see that.
