Column Text & Component Titles

Dear Forum Leader,

I am having trouble at the moment with trying to fathom out adding text to column side bars, like a message to readers say for instance, and deleting the whole component area, (leaving just the headings for the links pages).

Say for instance I wanted to say "We Like To Take Care Of Business" in the side bar.

Secondly, all headings, recent articles, calendar, archive years etc, woud be deleted to just show the content links, no background no border, complete deletion of the whole area.

I really need some help here and would be sooooo, pleased if you could help.

p.s, I,ve tried looking at the manual and various links through the forum, but no luck.

I think what you are looking for is to create a custom component and to add that component to your sidebar...

Not sure what you mean exactly... Are you looking to remove those components or to move to a 2-column layout?
