Email Notification of Trackback in Moderation Necessary?

With all the trackback spam, the piling up of email notifications about trackbacks awaiting moderation is becoming a bit tedious. Is there a way to turn that off? I understand I'll need to do the housekeeping still.

Unfortunately, the frequency of trackback queue notifications is currently not configurable, though we have already noted this as a feature request. At this time, my only suggestion would be to create a filter in your mail client if you do not want to see these mails in your inbox.

I thought that might have to be the way.

One problem I can foresee if we are not being alerted in some way is that we could neglect to do periodic clearings of the spammy trackbacks.
