Yet another question...
say I want to make an additional page where just the new articles component (or any other component, or set of components) of my blog exists.. how would I go about it?
Just for the sake of trying, I took one of my custom components and saved it as a template; whose include path was returned to be "_custom/SonMakaleler_" ("SonMakalaler_" is the name of my extra, new custom template). Yet I can't find out what to do in order to open that page directly (what does that page's address become? "http://www.abmistanbul/blog/_custom/SonMakaleler_" opens my blog, not a page based on a custom template...
Once again, thank you very much in advance! |

If I understand you correctly, you want to make a page which contains the contents of the Recent Articles component?
First, you can not call the contents of a template directly as a URL, the path must be included in another template like this:
Code: | {{include name="_custom/SonMakaleler_""}} |
Next, since the codes which retrieve the recent articles from the component are not processed when uses as part of the body of an article, you can not enter the codes from the Recent Articles component into an article.
So I don't see a way to do what I think you are trying to do. Of course, if you are looking for a page which displays your Recent Articles you can always create some Javascript code which parses your site's RSS:
http://demo.blogharbor.com/blog/_archives/2004/1/10/12913.html
Then enter this Javascript into an HTML page you create by hand, let's call it recent.html . Then upload recent.html to your weblog using the File Manager, and you can access that page as http:/abmistanbul/recent.html ... |
