Twas wondering if there was a plan to offer the option to have more than 1 blog hosted on an account ala Typepad(ooooh, dirty word around here =P)
hehe...all kidding aside, I don't need the space as much as I would like the ability to host another blog or two on top of the one I have now.
If I had this option, this would go a long way in helping me stay with Blogharbor. I love Blogharbor now, but if I have to pay $20-$30 more to host 1 or 2 more blogs, I might have to go indie.

I don't think that word is a dirty word.
Seriously, all of our blog hosting plans allow for:- multiple categories with security on a per category basis
- customizable templates per category
- RSS generation per category
- multiple author support
Essentially, this means that every BlogHarbor site provides a nearly unlimited number of weblogs at addresses such as
Although these 3 addresses might have the same hostname of 'demo.blogharbor.com', each category could host entirely separate topics and be complete weblogs, each generating their own content and RSS file, having their own authors, and having their own design and style. We do not however, offer you the capability to map one domain name to one category and another domain name to a different category.
Some links you might want to read on these topics:
We have a number of bloggers using our service in this manner, giving another author permission to post in a category and creating a different design for that category. The best example would be to check out this blog:
http://cheznadezhda.blogharbor.com/blog
Then check out this category within that blog:
http://cheznadezhda.blogharbor.com/blog/praktikesplace
The only thing we do not provide is the ability to map a domain name to a category, which is what Typepad is doing. In our system, you point your domain name to a blog, not a catagory.
But I think overall, we're providing more features for these "sub-weblogs" when you consider the security model we can apply to categories, the built-in RSS support for caategories, the essentially unlimited number of sub-weblogs and unlimited authors for all BlogHarbor packages. |

Hi John,
As always, thanks for the prompt response. =) hmmm, interesting points. Yeah, I'm interested in starting 2-3 more blogs and wanted domain mapping with them since I won't be working under an umbrella group. My domain name is already out there and didn't want to change it but will look into the other options you gave. Thanks again! _________________ Ken Lee
