I read that your RSS stuff automatically knows if I have permissions or not and will send the correct RSS link.
I do not want people who are not members getting access to my RSS info.
I logged in and used the add to my yahoo link to test it. No new postings are showing up in my yahoo rss although I posted a few test posts yesterday.
Am I doing something wrong? Confused

Your blog actually has two different RSS feeds at each category. If you take a peek at the HTML source for your blog, you will see links to the "standard" version and the "secure" version.

Your standard version will never display restricted items. Which is why if you added this RSS feed to your MyYahoo, it does not display any posts which might have been restricted.

Your "Authenticated RSS" feed is a slightly different URL, add ?secure=1 to the end of your standard version and that is the URL for your Authenticated RSS feed. So if the standard URL was:

Code:
http://demo.blogharbor.com/blog/index.xml

the Authenticated version would be

Code:
http://demo.blogharbor.com/blog/index.xml?secure=1

If you're using an RSS aggregator which supports authentication, then you can provide your username and password to the aggregator and you will receive a version of the feed which includes the restricted items your login is permitted to view. There is no way for users to see your restricted items in an RSS feed unless they already had the credentials to view that content via the blog itself.

I'm pretty sure that MyYahoo does not yet support authentication of your RSS feed, so no matter what you do you will not be able to get MyYahoo to display the restricted items on your RSS feed.
