I understood that BlogHarbor was purging trackback spam on a daily basis. Today I've just deleted over 200, with the usual suspects such as texas holdem and other card stuff, some porn etc. These went back to Oct 10 or 12. I did not check the particular posts to see whether the trackbacks were showing up for visitors.
Could you give us an update on this please? _________________ Des Walsh

I agree, it's brutal, with the same offenders appearing over and over despite using "delete and block". Is there a simple way to just disallow trackbacks altogether? |

We do our best to prevent trackback spam from appearing on your blog (and we are actively working on updates to this process), but we are not able to prevent all of it from getting to your blog. For the ones that get through, you will need to use the Delete and Block feature from your control panel dashboard.

Unfortunately, they only appear to be the same... The source IP address and the target URL are different...

You can disallow trackbacks on a per article basis, and make this the default setting for your new posts if you so choose. |
