In two posts now I've linked to pdf files I have uploaded. The files are flyers for seminars I'm speaking at and I don't have them in a non-pdf format.

They open fine using Internet Explorer but if I'm in Mozilla Firefox I get this image

And then all I can do is close the windows that are open.

Looks like you uploaded the file without an extension suffix. So you uploaded a file named dl0306flyer, not dl0306flyer.pdf . Files without extensions can cause problems for web servers and web broswers. Try adding an extension to your file and uploading it as dl0306flyer.pdf. That should solve any problems you are seeing.
