|
|
I learned the hard way that if you put an ' (aposrtophe) or & in the title of a file, you can't upload the photos to an article. Is there a way to change the title of a file in File Manager? Also, is there a way to delete an empty file in File Manager? I know how to delete the photos in the files, but I can't figure out how to delete the empty file.
Thanks. Phil Arnold www.ElvisBlog.net |

No, there is not.

You should be able to delete any file, empty or not, within the File Manager. Or are you asking if you can delete an empty directory?
I wonder if you are saying file but mean directory throughout this posting... |

John: Thanks for confirming that you cannot change the name of a file in File Manager. I also figured out how to delete files in File Manager, which I did with the file title I screwed up (and then started over a file title containing no ' or &.
It does seen like there should be a box that pops up when you try ro put something in a file title that prevents photos from being posted to a blog article. If we were warned, we wouldn't upload all the photos and then find out afterward that they won't post. Is a pop-up warning box something you could add?
Thanks, Phil Arnold www.ElvisBlog.net |

Thanks for the suggestion.
Unfortunately, Blogware is no longer being actively developed by the vendor, so you won't be seeing that change made. You'll need to keep this in mind and work around it. |
