I've noticed something strange, and I thought you might could explain it John.
Say I'm on BlogHarbor, and I log on and then later decide to leave a comment. I type my text in, etc. and then hit "preview". I notice that something isn't right, so I press "edit". It takes me back to the form so that I can edit the comment. But for some reason, above the form, it says "by Anonymous".
I've tried it on several blogs, with the same result. Any idea why? It's clearly not "by Anonymous".
Thanks for your help! |

Oh, and I have one other thing to file under strange comment behavior.
Go to a post and scroll down to leave a comment. Instead of typing a comment, just hold down a single key and let it fill in about 4 lines of nothing but that one character. Then, hit "preview", and watch what it does to the content width. Crazy. |

Good catch. This looks like a little bug - the intermediate confirmation page says "By Anonymous" but the comment gets posted with the right username. I'll file a bug report for this, thanks for pointing it out. |

That is just the way HTML works, it's not unique to our pages... Browsers will not put in a line break in the middle of a word: the long string of one character is treated in HTML as a single word. |
